The Advocacy Initiative will be holding a conference for NGO advocates on 10 June next in Dublin’s Ashling Hotel.  The Advocacy Initiative is being managed jointly by Middlequarter and Montague Communications.

Middlequarter founder conferred with Honorary Doctorate

Middlequarter founder Owen Keenan was conferred with an honorary degree of Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil honoris causa) by Dublin City University on Saturday 27th March last. Dr Keenan was chosen for this award as "a social activist who has had a transformational role in advancing an agenda on behalf of children's rights in particular". This is only the eighth honorary degree awarded by the University in the past ten years. The degree was conferred by outgoing President Ferdinand von Prondzynski who was officiating at his last day of conferrings, with Chancellor David Byrne presiding.
